Hi, I’m Avi. I’ve been living in the Netherlands for over 20 years, and I’m a surfer. These days, I don’t surf every day, unfortunately, but usually on weekends. I really love the ocean, and I look for the good days to go surfing—which is why I built this app… purely out of personal need. As a computer scientist, I started building the app to save myself travel time and to help me decide which beach to go to. That’s how the app expanded to cover the whole world—to help you, the surfers, see from home which spot is best and check the wave forecast for that day and the days ahead.

I started collecting surf spots from around the world — their names, locations, and the webcams that show them live. Piece by piece, I built a growing list that covers places from the Basque Coast to Denmark and beyond.

Every spot was checked and added by hand, in English and in Hebrew, so people who speak either language can find their way around easily.

I'm turning that collection into this app — a simple place where you can browse surf spots, check the live webcam, and get a feel for the wave before you even leave the house.

It's still growing. New spots, new regions, and new features are being added along the way, but the goal stays the same: make it easy for anyone to discover a good place to surf.
